Reading of a Konkani two-act Play – Katha Asturi, a dialogue by Jyoti Kunkoliekar and Prashanti Talpankar was held on 8th March 2013. This marked the inauguration of the week-long celebration of International Women’s Day at ICG. Mrs. Sujata Deshmukh, Editor – Maneka Prakashan’s Maher & Maneka (Marathi Magazines), Pune inaugurated the programme.
Katha is Produced by: Apurbai Chitra, Presented by: Jyoti, and Written by: Pundalik Nayak. It is a story of woman, however unlike conventional stories this one doesn’t start and end at a particular stage. It is a liberal dialogue on life of a woman. It may be considered a stage sensation from the literature point of view. A play, but still not a play. It is a dialogue – between the two, with the audience, with one’s self. Photo Gallery
