Engr. K.B. Wadhvane is Honorary Director Technical (Elect) of Indian Water Works Association.He is a water works engineer with over 25 years of experience. He is presently working in capacity of Executive Engineer at Asia’s largest water treatment plant in Mumbai. He has presented many papers in the field of water, wastewater and energy efficiency. He is recipient of award for best article published in IWWA Journal on water treatment. He has ndergone special training abroad in water; wastewater treatment plants, asset management ; risk assessment.
Each year, World Water Day highlights a specific aspect of freshwater. UN – Water supports the World Water Day campaign and sets the theme each year. Under the theme ‘Wastewater’, the year 2017 provides an important opportunity to consolidate and build upon the previous World Water Days to highlight the two-way relationship between water and the decent work agenda in the quest for sustainable development.World Water Day tries to remind people about the significance of fresh water and to promote sustainability for fresh water resources; management. It’s a day to celebrate water. It’s a day to prepare for how we manage water in the future.We, The Institution of Engineers (India), Goa State Centre, in association with Indian Water Works Association, Goa Centre,
propose to celebrate World Water Day 2017 on the said theme.
