Dr Badruddin holds MA in Sociology and Political Science, Diploma in Journalism, M.Phil and PhD in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, is presently working as an Associate Professor in Political Science and Head, PES’s RSN College of Arts & Science, Farmagudi, Ponda, affiliated to Goa University, Goa. With twenty six years of teaching experience, the author has been a Visiting Professor and Chair at Osh State University, Kyrgyzstan deputed by ICCR, New Delhi, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for a period of six month and a short term ‘Visiting Scholar’ at East China Normal University, Shanghai. The Author has presented 26 papers in international conferences including U.K. Malaysia, China and Taiwan, 27 papers at national conferences, and has distinction of publishing 68 research papers, 02 books and completed 3 UGC Research Projects. The Author has extensively travel abroad to undertake academic assignments of interdisciplinary interest. He is also a coordinator of national and state level seminars, associated with several editorial boards, chairperson in various international conferences and member of scientific committees. He has also been conferred with Bharat Gaurav (India Proud ) Award by India International Friendship Society (IIFS), New Delhi for meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role.
Synopsis of the Book
The book titled ‘Human Rights: National and Global Agenda’ is the scholarly initiative to address issues and contemporary challenges occurring at local, national, cross national and international levels. Books briefly examines various dimensions of human rights like migration, refugees, cross border terrorism, citizenship, naxalism, nationalism, women, tribes, social security, indigenous community and education. The compendium contains several references from original contributions in the areas of NGOs, human rights, public bodies and legal institutions. The book can be used as a handy reference for useful syllabi in various academic, professional organizations or simply those interested to know more about the discourses of human rights. In fact, human rights as a subject has become a core multidiscipline. Collection of 21 research papers from varied corners of Goa, India and the world is definitely a meaningful and appreciative to bring together large number of young and senior scholars of interdisciplinary interest of human rights.
