Srinath Raghavan (MA, PhD King’s College London) is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research (New Delhi) and a recipient of the prestigious Infosys Prize (Social Sciences) in 2015. He is the author of the highly-praised War and Peace in Modern India: A Strategic History of the Nehru Years (2010) and 1971: A Global History of the Creation of Bangladesh (2013). Prior to his academic career, he spent six years as an infantry officer in the Indian Army.
The definitive history of US involvement in South Asia, The Most Dangerous Place (2018) provides a gripping account of America’s political and strategic, economic and cultural presence in the region.
